CAPTRUST Employees Elected to Spearhead Firm’s Charitable Efforts

Raleigh, NC (July 30, 2010)

The CAPTRUST CAPCommunity Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization benefiting children in need, today announced the election of nine new committee members: Michele Swart, Luke Dary, Kevin Monroe, Ellen Crowley, Michael Curran, Todd Jones, Donna Brouder, Matthew Leggett, and Traynor Reitmeier. Committee members internally organize and promote the firm’s involvement in local communities and serve a three‐year term.
The CAPCommunity Foundation was organized in 2007 to provide CAPTRUST employees with more opportunities to participate as a group in community outreach efforts. “We strive to increase appreciation for our communities by supporting new charities every year, primarily based on suggestions from our
employees,” explains the newly elected foundation president, Michele Swart. “We have embraced the mission to enrich the lives of children in the communities we serve, and as our company grows, so does employee participation in our charitable efforts, which ultimately enables us to positively impact as many children as possible.”
Since its inception, the CAPCommunity Foundation has partnered with 58 local and national charities, including Duke Children’s Hospital, Interact, Inc., Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Literacy Council of Wake County, Special Olympics, March of Dimes, and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
